Boat Cover Support Pole Versus Boat Cover Support System

All of our Carver Boat Covers will come with a 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 year warranty. We highly recommend purchasing Support Poles or a Support System to help prolong the life of your cover, which in many cases will allow the cover to outlast the warranty. The Boat Cover Support Poles extend from 22”-70” and will include a male snap at the top of the pole. "Snap patches" are included with your poles. The patches are self-adhesive and are made to be applied on the underside of your boat cover. The pole is made to snap directly into the patch (which has a female snap). These poles are very light-weight and are made from heavy-duty aluminum tubing. You can purchase single poles or purchase them in sets, depending on the size of your boat and how much support is needed. For boats that are 24' in length or less, you will probably only need a single pole, but you can always use more if needed. For boats larger than 24' in length, we recommend you use at least 2 poles. The Boat Cover Support System offers better support since it supports the cover throughout the entire length of the boat. The support system consists of a pole that goes in the middle of the cover and straps that come out of the pole which are made to affix to the front and rear of the boat. The front strap is made to cradle your bow and the back straps are made to clip to your tow hooks at the stern. This will create an upside down “V” on the inside of the cover, allowing water to run off. The base of the support system is bigger than that of the support pole and will allow the pressure to distribute evenly throughout. A single support system is made for boats up to 28' in length. If your boat exceeds this length, two support systems can easily be connected together. The support system is listed on our accessories page as well.
